I'll do an hour of yoga and meditation everyday

Ok... So first off I should apologise for my lack of effort regarding this blog. Been finding it hard to decide on different things and have just been a little slack really.

Anyway... Lets continue!!
So for this week I am going to practice a little yoga. I have done a little bit of yoga in the past but have found it hard to stick with it and never really indulged in it. Plus I am not very flexible, so I think this is the perfect opportunity to limber up a bit.

Aim: To see how a week of meditation and yoga effects my mood and my flexibility.

Conditions: To practice yoga for 1 hour a day through a combination of morning and evening exercises.

I'll only listen to classical music (the end)

Well this week is finally over. Well it was actually over about 4 days ago (maybe my next experiment should be 'for one week I won't be lazy).

I ultimately found this weekly challenge hardly a challenge at all! In fact, I actually found it quite enjoyable. I have been listening to classical music by choice now and have been sorting through my library and trying to make well thought out playlists. It has been nice listening to other genres however and I have been able to appreciate the rest of the songs in my library that I have been previously taking somewhat for granted.

So in conclusion, what I have learnt from this first of many experiments is that I can develop a greater appreciation for a pericular subject by simply forcing myself to indulge in it with a positive mind. I'm sure that this type of appreciation can be developed with many other things and not just music. Let's see what the future holds!!

I'll only Listen to Classical Music (a few days in)

Well, it's been about 4 days now and I have to say I've been listening to way more Classical Music than I expected. I've even found myself humming tunes during the day as I teach or do other stuff.
So far I've been listening to a lot of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" and "The Nutcracker." Ok, I know they're cheesy, but they're also really good! Long... But good! I have also been listening to some Beethoven collections, Mozart classics and a "relaxing" compilation that I put on to... well.. umm.. feel relaxed.
So far the experiment has not been at all frustrating in any way. If anything it has been really enjoyable. I have always enjoyed classical music, but have never really taken the time to listen to it for lengths at a time. So I've found that forcing myself to listening to this genre has really helped my appreciation and my understanding of the music and it's different styles.
The main purpose of the 'for one week' experiment is to tamper with different things for 'one week' in order to gain a greater appreciation for that thing or to perhaps add something positive to my lifestyle. So far I can say that I think I will be listening to more classical music in the future and I may even venture to attend a Ballet one of these days... Maybe.

I'll only Listen to Classical Music

Intro:
Well let's kick off this blog with something relatively simple...
This week I will only be listening to Classical Music (chamber, Orchestra etc)

Aim:
To pretty much see what it does/how it effects my mood.
Will it make me more relaxed? Will it make me more stressed?

Conditions:
I must only listen to Classical music and no other genres.
I must also make a conscious effort to listen to it for at least 2 hours a day.
